About Us
Ashram is an organisation in the West Midlands which provides community-inspired housing and services. Our cultural expertise means we serve a wide range of Birmigham. We are a not-for-profit organisation with charitable status and have been a Registered Social Landlord since 1994.
Although the organisation originally set-out to meet the needs of South Asian communities living in the Midlands, we have increasingly come to serve, support and empower a diverse cross-section of tenants, residents and communities. Over time, Ashram has therefore recognised the importance of moving from being a specialist Black and Minority Ethnicity provider, to a mainstream organisation working to meet the needs of a diverse cross section of communities.
We have used our on-the-ground experience in our work on national projects, publishing research and developing online engagement websites. Ashram now encompasses three areas: Health and Social Care, Housing and Research and Policy
Ashram is an agency for social inclusion and social impact, developing person-centred services to meet people's needs, choices and aspirations.
