Buckets & spades at the ready for resident festival
Hundreds of residents are set to enjoy all the fun of the seaside this week without leaving landlocked Coventry.
The free event for residents of Ashram Housing Association is being held at Heart Country Park and Beach in Meriden.
The ‘Big Do’ kicks off at 10am on Sunday (18th July) with lots of fun activities for all the family including a bouncy castle, trampolining and prize give-aways.
Residents are being encouraged to bring their own picnics - to mark the national Big Lunch - and children can enjoy the beach whilst parents sunbathe on deck chairs.
The event is also an opportunity for residents to give their views to staff on a host of different issues in an informal setting.
Ashram Housing Chief Executive Jas Bains said, “I feel really strongly that housing association staff need to be in direct dialogue with our residents. And the Big Do, our annual festival, is a great place to do this. It really captures the enthusiasm and imagination of staff and residents alike.”
“We’re going to have one-to-one chats, we’ll be capturing opinion through film, and we’ll be providing information on a fun and exciting day. I’m really looking forward to meeting our residents in this new setting!”
Places for the Big Do will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and transport is also available. To book your place call Pam Claire on 0300 111 7000 ext 3843 or email Pamela@ashramha.org.uk.
