Reducing Domestic Violence
Referral process:
We accept referrals from anyone. Service users can make self referrals by phoning 0121 764 3817 between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively you can email us on rdvp@ashramha.org.uk.
Information:
The Reducing Domestic Violence Project (RDVP) is funded via a Supporting People Grant. RDVP is a specialised, though not exclusive, service for South Asian women and provides comprehensive support, advocacy, information and advice to empower women to live more independently.
RDVP staff work with service users to share, explore and understand some of the difficulties they experience and develop person centred support planning to assist the service user to overcome barriers, and empowers them to reassert their cultural identity, self-confidence, self-esteem, motivation and pride.
The support is tailored to each individual woman's needs and may include practical support such as the following:
- Interpretation and translation
- Welfare benefits
- Parenting skills
- Finance
- Legal matters
- Immigration
- Education & employment
- Health
- Social inclusion
- Emotional support
- Housing & tenancy rights
- Protection from risk
